Voyager Espresso

Loosely modeled after the Voyager spacecraft, this self-reputed 'underground caffeine dealer' serves coffee from behind a sleek control center where Will Ayala and Angery Meija, co-owners, and resident coffee scientists serve up cosmically good coffee. Their journey started with a DIY cart in Providence, Rhode Island before purchasing Voyager in 2019. It's the kind of place that makes me believe in a future where humanity harnesses technology to fully devote ourselves to self-actualization.

Maybe a better world is on its way. (Or maybe I just had too much coffee todav).

Voyager Espresso

In 1977, NASA launched the Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 spacecraft. Along with them, they sent the Golden Record-a phonograph containing music, sounds, images, and greetings in multiple languages, designed as a message and testament of humanity should the spacecraft ever encounter extraterrestrial life.

For all the brilliance of the NASA team, led in part by the famed astrophysicist Carl Sagan, they omitted one crucial artifact: coffee. This is especially surprising, given that Dr. Sagan himself was a devoted daily coffee drinker (according to his daughter).

While Voyager 1 is now the farthest human-made obiect from Earth, Voyager Espresso, is thankfully just a short ride on the 2 or 3 line where you'll find a cup of coffee that is out of this world, with service that's profoundly human.
